Start Basewax and Start Basewax Extra are base co ats (primer coats) for the undercoat of a holding coat. They are used to reduce the wear and tear on the retention rate. Start Basewax – Suitable for normal snow conditions – Weight: 45 g Instructions for use Clean the grip area of old grease. If the skis are only used for classic skiing, the grip area of the ski base could be roughened with sandpaper (this way the grip stays better under the ski base and is more abrasion resistant). Next, rub the base coat in a thin layer over the ski area, spread with a grease stick and finish with a synthetic cork to evenly coat. Allow the skis to cool completely before using the grip compound.
