For help in assembling a children's ski set:
We recommend choosing ski boots one size larger than your normal shoes. You can safely leave room for growth and choose 2 sizes bigger.
The skis included in the set are classic skis, but by choosing a shorter length, you can also use skate technique (classics cannot be used with skate skis).
As a rule, classic technique skis should be chosen 15-20 cm, skate skis 5-10 cm longer than your height. If you want to ride with one pair of skis in both techniques, you should choose a ski that is about 10-15 cm longer than your height.
For a smaller child, or just starting skiing, skis of their own length are best. Longer skis are more difficult to maneuver and may take away the child's desire to ski altogether.
Helpful formula for finding the appropriate stick length:
For classic technique: skier's length x 0.85
For free technique: skier's length x 0.9
For classic technique: skier's length x 0.85
For free technique: skier's length x 0.9
